This bar was inspired by the smell of incense burning around the ghats in the holy city of Varanasi, located on the river Ganges. It has a complex aroma of frankincense, sandalwood, amber and resin, with a bitter orange top note. Its colour was inspired by the vivid marigolds garlands, and comes naturally from annatto seeds, which gives this bar its gentle refreshing properties, and it's great for sensitive scalps!

We don't use Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) in our shampoo bars. This ingredient is most commonly derived from petroleum and palm oil, and is often reported as more likely to cause skin irritation. Instead we use Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI) and Sodium Coco-Sulfate (SCS) which are both derived from coconut oil.
Each bar is at least 60 g and approximately 5.5 cm diameter and 2.5 cm high. As a handmade product there can be natural variations in appearance.
