Moroccan Lava Clay is a natural mineral of volcanic origin found only in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. After mining, it is washed, dried, ground and sifted. It's use has been dated back to the 8th century and is traditionally used as a cleanser because of its saponifying properties.
